Advanced Manufacturing Technology Development Institute (AMTDI), Jalingo established in 2010 is a center under the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), an agency of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology

AMTDI’s Role in National Development
Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) encompasses the use of innovative technologies, software, computers and networks to produce and deliver value-added competitive products and services. Being the flagship centre to pioneer and project advanced manufacturing technologies for adoption and domestication in Nigeria, the major roles of AMTDI Jalingo include:

The institute, which serves as a coordinating centre for AMT Programmes of NASENI, is to close the technological gap between Nigeria and Industralized nations in the following AMT areas: Additive Manufacturing Technologies, Process Automation, Advanced Machining, etc.

The Institute has a well-equipped automation training Centre for developing for developing capacity in the use of technologies to monitor and control production and delivery of services. The Festo Authorized and Certified Training Centre (FACT) is operated in partnership with Festo, a leading German Automation Company on Mechatronics, Process and Factory Automation
